• Installing a Water Line Is a Snap. Running a water line to a refrigerator to supply its ice maker and drinking water dispenser has never been easier. At one time, this was typically done with 1/4-inch bendable copper tubing snaked from the refrigerator to the nearest source of water, tapped into the water line using a saddle valve or other fitting.
• Mar 30, 2017  The ice maker water supply line, however, began to leak. It was an opaque white plastic tube with brass compression fittings on both ends. The supply valve in the wall behind the unit has a 1/4' brass male compression thread as a hook up. The refrigerator also hooks to the water line with a 1/4' male thread, also brass and compression threaded.
