Countries in HOI4 are either major countries or minor countries. In a war, a faction will only surrender when all its participating major countries capitulate. Major powers refer to ones with the highest number of factories, within the top 7 or 70% of the average of the top 7, updated monthly. Countries cannot lose their major status while at war. HOI4 Manpower Command. General Information. This command adds the specific amount of man power to your country. Manpower amount Amount: The amount of man power you wish to add to your current country. 150 would add 150 men. Manpower 200. Executing the above command will add 200 manpower to your country.

So, please forgive me if this is easily found, but the only way I've found to see a nation's population is either:

1. Play as that nation and check under manpower.

2. Count the pop in each province/state of a country and add them together.

I am wanting to play as a minor power (just got stomped by the USA intervening against me as Argentina) but it seems such a huge hassle to find a nation with a population amount I'm looking for. Is there another way to look during the 'choose nation' part pre-game? Or has someone else already made a list for those of us too lazy?
