I have been using windows on my pc since forever.I used Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1......But I never got a problem with anything when installing executive files. Now when i have upgraded to Windows 10, whenever I try to download files from internet (I have tried my browser's downloader, Internet Download Manager, Flashget)...Unfortunately after every downloads..trust me every files...the executable files are either corrupted or the installer launches but in some point it fails too. Even my archives are infected. When i try to extract rar, zip archives with 7zip or any other extraction softwares. It shows DATA Error or CRC Failed.I can post all the screenshots if you want me to. But there are some files that doesnt occur this kind of problems. Like the experience with downloading the AVAST free antivirus was just fine. I have read about the NSIS problem and tried everything. In fact i have installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 AU too.I have cleared browser cache and all that. Deleted IDM and did almost everything. For your information I have tried turning off WINDOWS DEFENDER too through group policy to see in case its detecting all the files as threats.
PS: I am using AVAST Antivirus (FREE)

What Is IDMan.exe?

IDMan.exe is a type of EXE file associated with Internet Download Manager (IDM) developed by Windows Software Developer for the Windows Operating System. What Are EXE Files?

EXE ('executable') files, such as IDMan.exe, are files that contain step-by-step instructions that a computer follows to carry out a function. When you 'double-click' an EXE file, your computer automatically executes these instructions designed by a software developer (eg. Windows Software Developer) to run a program (eg. Internet Download Manager (IDM)) on your PC.

Every software application on your PC uses an executable file - your web browser, word processor, spreadsheet program, etc. - making it one of the most useful kinds of files in the Windows operating system. Without executable files like IDMan.exe, you wouldn't be able to use any programs on your PC.

Why Do I Have EXE Errors?

Because of their usefulness and ubiquity, EXE files are commonly used as a method of delivery for virus / malware infection. Often, viruses will be disguised as a benign EXE file (such as IDMan.exe) and distributed through SPAM email or malicious websites, which can then infect your computer when executed (eg. when you double-click the EXE file).

In addition, viruses can infect, replace, or corrupt existing EXE files, which can then lead to error messages when Internet Download Manager (IDM) or related programs are executed. Thus, any executable files that you download to your PC should be scanned for viruses before opening - even if you think it is from a reputable source.

When Do EXE Errors Occur?

EXE errors, such as those associated with IDMan.exe, most often occur during computer startup, program startup, or while trying to use a specific function in your program (eg. printing).

Common IDMan.exe Error Messages

The most common IDMan.exe errors that can appear on a Windows-based computer are:

  • 'IDMan.exe Application Error.'
  • 'IDMan.exe is not a valid Win32 application.'
  • 'IDMan.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
  • 'Cannot find IDMan.exe.'
  • 'IDMan.exe not found.'
  • 'Error starting program: IDMan.exe.'
  • 'IDMan.exe is not running.'
  • 'IDMan.exe failed.'
  • 'Faulting Application Path: IDMan.exe.'

These EXE error messages can appear during program installation, while a IDMan.exe-related software program (eg. Internet Download Manager (IDM)) is running, during Windows startup or shutdown, or even during the installation of the Windows operating system. Keeping track of when and where your IDMan.exe error occurs is a critical piece of information in troubleshooting the problem.
